V. Fast Signs of Ovulation

i. A rise in basal body temperature (measured by a thermometer), typically ½-1 degree higher than normal basal body temperature (98.6F)

ii. A spike in luteinizing hormone (LH) which is measured in a morning urine specimen with a home ovulation test

iii. A change in vaginal discharge or cervical mucous (clear, thin, stretchy) discharge may be noted

iv. Pelvic tenderness or bloating

v. Light spotting
